We are delighted to return to Edinburgh once again for the famous Edinburgh Tattoo. Each year's Tattoo is very much a 'global gathering', showcasing the talents of musicians and performers from every corner of the globe. In addition to this, the Tattoo has been televised in more than 40 countries. An annual television audience of 100 million watches the coverage worldwide. This is not to be missed. We stay in the ‘Fair City’ of Perth on the banks of the River Tay – a super base with elegant Georgian townhouses, cobbled streets and medieval spires. EARLY BOOKING RECOMMENDED

Salutation Hotel - 3 Star

Charming from the outside, this deceptively large hotel boasts 84 en suite bedrooms each individual in size and shape. Each are equipped with TV’s, hairdryers and tea/coffee making facilities. Other facilities include the elegant Adam’s Restaurant and the well-stocked, Reid’s Bar. All rooms are served by a lift.



Your Itinerary:



Day 1

From your front door to the Club Class coach for the drive to Gretna Green. Not just famous for weddings, the Blacksmith’s Shop has been designed to offer a combination of culture, heritage, shopping and traditional Scottish fayre. We continue north, passing Stirling and on to Perth to reach our hotel in time for dinner.


Day 2

A leisurely morning in Perth. Take the opportunity to discover our bustling and compact resort. Explore the glorious parks and gardens, historic houses, fascinating museums, shopping experiences and more. We enjoy a light lunch at our hotel before heading off to Edinburgh. where we have time at leisure before making our way to the magnificent Edinburgh Castle for the spectacular Tattoo. After the performance we make a late return to the hotel.


Day 3

Our day begins with a ride over the mountains to Glen Clunie and Braemar, setting for the Highland Games. We have a short break here before heading along Deeside with views of Balmoral Castle to arrive in Crathie. The towns little church is where the Royal Family worship when visiting Balmoral. After time to wander around we make our way to Ballater with time for lunch and exploration. We retrace our steps to beautiful Spittal of Glenshee for our final stop before returning at the hotel late afternoon.


Day 4

After breakfast before we bid farewell to our hosts mid morning and make our way home where we are greeted by our awaiting taxis after a fabulous and colourful visit to Scotland.
