Always a popular holiday for us as we return to Sidmouth and the Jurassic Coast - a World Heritage Site on the English Channel coast of southern England stretching from Exmouth in East Devon to Studland Bay in Dorset. The picturesque seaside town of Sidmouth is situated on this glorious Devon coast, set between deep red cliffs on the edge of Devon’s heathery uplands; the town boasts a pleasant, well-kept atmosphere.

Your Accommodation:

The 3 star family run Royal York and Faulkner is a firm favourite with our clients. It is ideally situated on the centre of the esplanade overlooking the sea and adjacent to the shopping centre. The well-appointed bedrooms are all en-suite and include tea/coffee making facilities and all are served by a lift. The hotel also benefits from a spa with a hydrotherapy pool, sauna and steam cabin.

Your Itinerary:

Our door to door service takes you from your home to the waiting Club Class coach for the journey to the South West. We spend time in the vibrant town of Marlborough, then on to Sidmouth arriving at our holiday hotel late afternoon.

A lovely coastal drive today to Seaton with its famous tramway to Colyton. We take a return journey on the delightful narrow gauge tram through the beautiful Axe Valley. Our return to Sidmouth includes a visit to the Famous Donkey Sanctuary, the history of how this was set up is amazing you can listen to the talks explaining all about the sanctuary and how they work with other countries all over the world.

This morning we visit Exmouth. Devon’s oldest seaside resort and one of great naval and historic importance where we include a cruise on the River Exe. From here we visit the attractions within the Hall of Transport.

This morning we visit Bicton Park and Botanical gardens. Here we find a unique class of trees, from all over the world, flowers, exotic blooms and many rare Palms. Take a stroll around the beautiful gardens or maybe catch the train which takes you around the beautiful site. Our return to Sidmouth allows time at leisure to explore our delightful resort.

Our homeward journey includes glorious Somerset scenery, retracing our outward journey before returning to our home area late afternoon with fond memories of East Devon.
