Overview

It gives us great pleasure to return to Llandudno - the largest resort in Wales. With its unique combination of Victorian style and Edwardian elegance, it is known as the ‘Queen of Welsh Resorts’. Llandudno is an exciting destination which is both lively and beautiful with two sandy beaches, a lovely wide promenade and plenty of shopping opportunities in pretty Victorian Mostyn Street.

Your Accommodation:

Chatsworth House Hotel - 2 Star

The comfortable Chatsworth House Hotel is ideally located on Llandudno’s Grand Promenade, across from the Pier and just a few minutes walk from the central shopping area. The hotel offers breathtaking panoramic views over the whole of Llandudno Bay. Facilities include an indoor heated swimming pool along with the recently refurbished bar, ballroom and dining room. Each of the ensuite bedrooms has a TV, hairdryer and tea/coffee making facilities and is served by a lift.

Your Itinerary:

Day 1

Joining our Club Class coach we journey to Snowdonia. Our route takes us to Shrewsbury for a lunch stop then on to Llandudno to arrive at our hotel late afternoon with time to relax before dinner.

Day 2

A full day tour to the splendour of Snowdonia. We drive to Betws-y-coed for a short visit before continuing on to pretty Bala where we enjoy a ride on the tiny Bala Lake Railway followed by free time. Our next visit is to the purpose built town of Portmeirrion on the shores of Cardigan Bay where we spend time.

Day 3

More of beautiful Snowdonia, we visit Llanberis, at the foot of Snowdon, for a ride aboard the Llanberis Lake Railway taking us along the lake shore. This afternoon we head to historic Caenarfon with its magnificent castle.

Day 4

Today we head through the Snowdonia National Park to Blaenau Ffestiniog. Here we catch the Ffestiniog Railway for an exhilarating ride across the mountains, descending to the sea at Porthmadog. We have time to explore and take lunch here before yet another train journey aboard the Welsh Highland Railway, taking us through Beddgelert and all the way back to Caernarfon and our waiting coach.

Day 5

After a leisurely breakfast we begin our homeward journey. Our route is by way of Colwyn Bay and the historical city of Chester, where we spend some time before joining the motorway back to our home area, arriving late afternoon.
