Chester has the most complete city walls, the oldest racecourse and the largest Roman Amphitheatre in Britain, plus a 1000 year old Cathedral with Europe's finest example of medieval carvings - and of course the 700 year old ‘Rows’ galleries where shopping is a double delight.

Your Itinerary:

Day 1

From your front door to the waiting Club Class coach for the leisurely journey to our hotel, the BW Premier Collection Queens Hotel arriving with plenty of time to relax before this evening’s dinner.

Day 2

This morning we travel to the delightful Welsh resort of Llandudno where we enjoy time at leisure. Take a tram ride up to the top of the Great Orme, wander around the lovely shops or saunter along the wide, flat promenade. There is something here for everyone. Later we travel back to our hotel with time to relax before dinner.

Day 3

Today is spent in our resort of Chester. Chester is encircled by a 2-mile ring of Roman and medieval walls, has the oldest racecourse in the country dating back to 1539 and half-timbered buildings where you can visit the 700 year old ‘Chester Rows‘ - the 2-tiered galleries of shops in the Rows are packed with shops, cafes and restaurants. Furthermore head to the Roman Amphitheatre – the largest in Britain which was built in the late first century AD. This afternoon we enjoy an included sightseeing cruise along the River Dee.

Day 4

Today we visit the famous city of Liverpool. We are joined by our local guide for a fascinating tour of the city, including places made famous by the Beatles, Titanic White Star Line headquarters, the Cathedrals and much more. Afterwards we enjoy free time to explore at leisure and no visit to Liverpool is complete without a walk around Albert Dock. It was originally opened in 1846 as a dockside warehouse complex, but today, it’s a UNESCO World Heritage Site and also has the largest collection of Grade I listed buildings in the UK. Walk around its colonnades, under its stone arches and along the water’s edge for a little retail therapy or stop for a drink at one of its cafes, restaurants or bars. Later we return to the hotel for dinner for our final evenings dinner.

Day 5

After breakfast we make us of the motorways to arrive home late afternoon after an unforgettable Northern break..
