Overview

A great new 5 day break, based in Llandudno and set amidst the pleasing scenery of North Wales and the stunning Snowdonia National Park. We include a tour of the Pant Du Vineyard, located on the slopes of the Nantlle Valley, Snowdonia with breathtaking views of Snowdon, and a visit to the National Trust Bodnant Gardens.

The family owned and run, 3 star Merrion has a well earned reputation for being warm, friendly and comfortable and enjoys a super seafront location. Each of the tastefully decorated, ensuite bedrooms is equipped with a TV and tea/coffee making facilities and is served by a lift.



Your Itinerary:



Day 1

Joining our Club Class coach, we journey to Snowdonia. Our route takes us to Shrewsbury for a lunch stop then on to Llandudno to arrive at our hotel late afternoon with time to relax before dinner.


Day 2

After breakfast this morning we make our way to Bodnant Gardens. Located in the Conwy Valley, this garden is a Grade I listed horticultural gem, home to botanical collections from around the globe. After a good stay we head to historic Conwy, with its impressive Castle overlooking the bay. We enjoy free time here to explore before heading back to our hotel.


Day 3

Today is free to explore lovely Llandudno and all it has to offer. With its unique combination of Victorian style and Edwardian elegance, it is known as the ‘Queen of Welsh Resorts’. Its an exciting destination which is both lively and beautiful with two sandy beaches, a lovely wide promenade and plenty of shopping opportunities in pretty Victorian Mostyn Street.


Day 4

This morning we journey into the Snowdonia National Park, making our first stop in the idyllic village of Betws-y-Coed. We continue on by way of Llanberis to our next stop, the town of Caernarfon with its mighty castle where we have time to obtain lunch. This afternoon we visit the Pant Du Vineyard & Orchard located in a beautiful spot, with surrounding mountains, as well as spectacular views of the sea across Caernarfon Bay, Pant Du is an idyllic location to enjoy the spectacular natural beauty Snowdonia has to offer. We enjoy a guided tour to learn about the history and challenges faced by the vignerons, of course we follow this with a tasting before returning to Llandudno.


Day 5

After a leisurely breakfast we begin our homeward journey. Our route is by way of Colwyn Bay and the historical city of Chester, then by motorway back to our home area, arriving this afternoon.
