We are pleased to offer this relaxing, 5 day break based in Paignton, Devon in the heart of the English Riviera on the South Devon Coastline with its long sandy beaches, quaint harbour and busy town centre offering a colourful atmosphere and first class attractions, it is the perfect setting for our break.

Your Accommodation:

The 3 star Queens Hotel is ideally situated in the heart of Paignton and is just a two minute short walk to the seafront, harbour and town centre shops and is renowned for its friendly atmosphere, homely ambiance and professional staff. The bedrooms offer everything needed for a peaceful night’s sleep with WiFi, TV and tea/coffee making facilities. The hotel also has an indoor heated pool and a spacious, light restaurant. Entertainment is offered each night. All rooms are serviced by a lift.

Your Itinerary:

From your front door to the Club Class coach as we make our way south to Paignton. Arriving late afternoon we have time to relax before dinner this evening. Entertainment is provided each evening throughout our stay.

This morning we make a short drive to nearby Torquay with time to discover the charms of the English Riviera’s largest resort, en route we make a visit to Buckfast Abbey, nestled in the shadow of Dartmoor, in a beautiful wooded valley beside the river Dart, Buckfast Abbey offers visitors a tranquil refuge from the hectic pace of everyday life. The Abbey is a working monastery where a community of Benedictine monks produce and sell their own Mead. We return to Paignton for the afternoon at leisure.

A super day today! From Paignton, we join the Dartmouth Steam Railway for a delightful and nostalgic ride along the coast and across the scenic Dart Valley to Kingswear. Here we take the ferry across the harbour to historic Dartmouth where we enjoy time for lunch and exploration before joining a 1 hour cruise along the beautiful River Dart. Our return journey to Paignton is made, once again, by train.

Our day begins with a coastal tour of Devon. Following the shore road we pass through Teignmouth and Dawlish, famous for its Black Swans, before continuing north to the cathedral city of Exeter. We take a break here and have time to explore the city before continuing along the Exe estuary to the popular resort of Exmouth.

After breakfast bid farewell to our hosts as we make our way home. We arrive later this afternoon to be greeted by our awaiting taxis.
