A great value, weekend break, taking us on a wonderfully scenic guided tour of the Yorkshire Dales, where it can be wild and windswept or quietly tranquil with valleys full of hay meadows, drystone walls and barns. We enjoy a guided tour of this stunning area and spend time in the glorious market towns of Skipton and Grassington.

The 3 star BW Plus Craiglands Hotel in Ilkley is a grand, Victorian hotel with a rich history dating back 162-years. The hotel has recently undergone extensive refurbishments and boasts 63 contemporary bedrooms, all are spacious, en-suite, served by a lift and equipped with all the features you would expect from a modern, comfortable hotel including satellite TV, hairdryer, tea/coffee making facilities and free Wi-fi. The Brasserie1 restaurant and the adjoining Antler Bar & Lounge provide an informal, contemporary dining and relaxation space serving a modern take on traditional dishes along with your favourite tipple.

Your Itinerary:

Our door to door service takes you to the waiting Club Class coach for the drive north. We make use of the motorways to reach Ilkley and the Craiglands Hotel, with time to relax before dinner.

This morning we head North for our guided tour of the stunning Yorkshire Dales National Park. We stop off at the market town of Skipton, with its famous 900 year old castle, romantic ruined priory and historic cobbled High Street providing an atmospheric backdrop to a compact shopping area, interspersed with friendly cafe’s and amenities - Skipton is endlessly rich both in history and outstanding natural beauty. We make a good stay before continuing on our guided tour, heading into the heart of the Dales making more stops on our as we journey through. We return to our hotel with time to relax before this evening’s dinner.

Departing after breakfast, we make for home with suitable stops made along the way. We arrive back in our home areas after a relaxing Yorkshire weekender.
