A great themed tour to Scotland’s best known and most popular region, Loch Lomond and the Trossachs. We include a boat cruise on Loch Katrina, a ride on the Falkirk Wheel, a tour and tasting of the famous Glengoyne Whisky Distillery and a visit to Inverary all set to a backdrop of glorious Autumn scenery. Our base is the village of Drymen at the southern end of Loch Lomond.

Your Accommodation:

The Winnock Hotel - 3 Star

The 3 star Winnock Hotel is located in the centre of the attractive village of Drymen and has proven popular with our clients for many years. The hotel, although fully modernised in terms of facilities, has retained its 17th century charm with original log fires, beamed ceilings and a warm welcome. All bedrooms are en-suite with colour T.V., telephone and tea/coffee making facilities. There is no lift but the hotel is on 2 floors only.

Your Itinerary:

Day 1

Our door to door service takes you to the waiting Club Class coach journey north from our home area via Scotch Corner, Gretna Green and Glasgow to reach our hotel late afternoon. We have time to settle in and relax before dinner this evening.

Day 2

A full Scottish breakfast before we enjoy wonderful Highland scenery on our drive along the Forth Valley then past Scotland’s only lake at Menteith to Rob Roy country and Callander where we spend some time. Then on into the heart of the glorious Trossachs to Loch Katrine for a soup and sandwich lunch before boarding the steam ship Sir Walter Scott for a 2 hour cruise on the beautiful loch. Our return is by way of the Queen Elizabeth Forest Park and Aberfoyle. Dinner is followed by an evening of entertainment.

Day 3

Another interesting day lies ahead as we drive beside Campsie Fell and the Kilsyth Hills to Falkirk where we include a breathtaking ride on the amazing Falkirk Wheel, the world’s first and only rotating boat lift. Later we continue to Bo’ness on the shores of the mighty Forth of Firth for our next adventure. Our next visit is to the Glengoyne Distillery where we enjoy an interesting tour culminating with a tasting of the famous liquor. Back at the hotel we have time to relax before dinner which is again followed by entertainment.

Day 4

A morning scenic drive to the shores of Loch Fyne and the historic town of Inverary, seat of the Clan Campbell before returning to the hotel for an afternoon at leisure before our evening’s dinner.
