Join us on this great, new 5 day break based in Stratford-upon-Avon – a thriving market town with more than 800 years of history, containing not only many buildings that survive today, but also a wide range of shops, restaurants and vibrant bars. Our super itinerary includes a relaxing cruise along the River Avon, a visit to the house where the world’s most famous playwright was born and grew up and entrance to Anne Hathaway’s cottage along with a visit to the awesome Blenheim Palace, Park & Gardens and Charlecote House.

Your Accommodation:

A stunning riverside hotel set amid landscaped gardens beside the River Avon and just a short walk from the town centre. Facilities include the super Riverside Restaurant, the Terrace Bar & Lounge - perfect for relaxing and enjoying drinks together and the heated pool and sauna. Each of the ensuite bedrooms is spacious and contemporary in style, equipped with TV, air conditioning, tea/coffee making facilities and served by a lift.

Your Itinerary:

From your front door to the Club Class coach for the drive to the Heart of England. After a good stay, we continue to Stratford arriving to welcoming cups of tea or coffee then time to settle in before dinner.

Today is spent in lovely Stratford Upon Avon. In addition to enjoying free time in the beautiful town, we have included entrances to some of the locations relating to the life of Shakespeare including his birthplace and a visit to Anne Hathaway’s cottage along with a relaxing cruise along the River Avon.

Departing after breakfast we head to wonderful Blenheim Palace, Park & Gardens. Home to the 12th Duke of Marlborough and his family and the birth place of Sir Winston Churchill, Explore over 2000 acres of ‘Capability’ Brown Parkland and 90 acres of award-winning Formal Gardens. Enter the Palace and explore the gilded State Rooms and priceless collections set against striking stonework. We enjoy plenty of time for our visit before returning to our hotel.

After breakfast we travel to historic Warwick. Throughout the day, we have included entrance to Charlecote House, Park & Gardens - a compact Tudor house with Victorian extensions and interiors, along with entrance to the Lord Leycester Hospital – now a modern, authentic visitor attraction. We return to our hotel with time to relax before our final evening’s dinner.

A leisurely breakfast before we depart and make for home. We make a visit to Saffron Walden with time for lunch before arriving back in our areas mid-afternoon.
